Legal notice
This is an informational English translation of NOMAD's privacy notice provided as a convenience to international visitors. The Spanish version is the legally binding text under Mexican Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de Particulares — LFPDPPP). In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
In compliance with and adherence to the provisions established in the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de Particulares (Mexican Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties — LFPDPPP) and its Regulations, we present the following points:
1. Personal data controller
CERTIFICACIONES NOMAD, S.C. (RFC: CNO220801IN6), hereinafter "NOMAD," is responsible for the use and handling of personal data of its users and clients, with a mailing address for service and receipt of notifications at:

2. Personal data and purposes
The personal data that NOMAD collects through its website and contact forms are:
- Full name
- Company or organization name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Description of product or project (where applicable)
These data are used for the following primary purposes, necessary for the provision of the service:
- Respond to inquiries and requests for regulatory diagnostic assessments
- Send quotations and service proposals
- Follow up on the NOM certification process
- Communicate changes, progress, or requirements of the certification procedure
On a secondary basis, and only with your consent, we may use your data for:
- Inform you about new services or relevant regulatory updates
- Invite you to activities related to standardization and conformity assessment
If you do not wish your data to be processed for secondary purposes, you may indicate this at any time by email to [email protected].
3. Data transfer
Personal data may be shared with certification bodies (OCPs — Organismos de Certificación), accredited testing laboratories, and government agencies, solely and exclusively to the extent necessary to carry out the NOM certification procedure that you have requested.
NOMAD shall adopt the necessary measures to ensure that third parties receiving the data adhere to this Privacy Notice and applicable legislation.
4. Options to limit the use of your data
To limit the use or disclosure of your personal data, you may send your request by email to [email protected] indicating for which purposes you wish to be excluded and which specific data.
Additionally, you can register in the Public Registry to Avoid Advertising (REPEP — Registro Público para Evitar Publicidad) of PROFECO or in the Public Registry of Users (REUS — Registro Público de Usuarios) of CONDUSEF, both available on the websites of these institutions.
5. ARCO Rights and consent revocation
You have the right to Access, Rectify, Cancel, or Object to the processing of your personal data (ARCO Rights — Acceso, Rectificación, Cancelación, Oposición), as well as to revoke any consent you have given to us.
To exercise these rights, send your request by email to [email protected] with the following information:
- Full name and contact information of the data subject
- Copy of official identification of the data subject or, where applicable, the legal representative with power of attorney letter
- Clear description of the right you wish to exercise and the data to which it refers
The Personal Data Protection Department shall acknowledge receipt of your request and shall have 20 business days to issue a response. If the request is granted, it shall take effect within the following 15 business days.
6. Right to appeal to INAI
If you consider that your right to the protection of personal data has been violated, you have the right to appeal to the Instituto Nacional de Transparencia, Acceso a la Información y Protección de Datos Personales (INAI) (National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information, and Protection of Personal Data). 7. Security (SSL)
Communication between your browser and NOMAD's website is protected by the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. You can verify this by the presence of https:// before the nomadsc.org address.
8. Use of cookies
NOMAD's website uses technical cookies necessary for correct navigation functionality (session, language preferences, and security). Currently, no third-party analytics, advertising, or behavior-tracking tools are used.
You can disable cookies from your browser settings; however, some website functionalities may be affected.
9. Changes to this privacy notice
This notice may be modified due to legal requirements, changes in our services, or updates to our practices. Any modification will be published on this same page. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
10. Acceptance of terms
By using NOMAD's services or by submitting your data through our contact forms, you confirm that you have read, understood, and consent to the terms of this Privacy Notice.
